A: I have to write a letter home and one to the university. Will you go with
me to the POST OFFICE? It is just around the corner.JULIÁN: As a matter of fact I need some stamps, too. I promise to write to
my family, my relatives and my friends.
A: That is going to keep you tide up!
JULIÁN: I guess so, I will do It, anyway ,…Let’s go.
A: Here It is. What kind of stamps are you going to buy?
JULIÁN: Well, I don’t know… I have to send a couple of letters to a
COLOMBIA, an one to PARIS.
A: It costs ten centsto send a letter to SOUTH AMERICA, fifteen to
EUROPE and a quarter to any other places in the world by air.
JULIÁN: I see… How about within the UNITED STATES?
A: Well, right now all mail costssix cents an regular three cents. You can
also buy “air may letters” for a dime a piece and you send them to any
places in the world.
JULIÁN: That’s seems very good to me.
A: Besides,If you don’t one to buy your stamps an envelopes separately,
you can by envelopes with stamps already attached. They are collect
“stamped envelopes” and come in all the denomination.JULIÁN: Umm, ahaa
BUYING THE STAMPS
JULIÁN: May I have five ten cent air mail stamps, three air letters and
five three cents stamps.
B: Yes, sir here you are. Five cents, anything else?
JULIÁN:Give me four ten cents air mail stamps, four three cents stamped
envelopes and ten post cards.
B: Is that all?
JULIÁN: A book of a dozen three cents stamps If you have one.
B: No, wedon’t have them by the dozen, the only one we have is the half
dozen book.
JULIÁN: That is okay. Let me have to booklets, then.
B: That will be one dollar.
JULIÁN: Listen, JUAN CAMILO. How amI going to notify the
POST OFFICE of my new address at the university when I move?
B: It is very simple, ask the clerk for a change of address card, right now,
fill It out and leave...
