Historyes of the Acapulco

While Acapulco is now recognized as one of the largest entertainment centers in the world, the port played an important role in the history of it. So much so that it isconsidered a cornerstone of international trade, since time as remote as the sixteenth century.

For 250 years, the Spanish colonial empire traffic with the wealth of Asia in large fleets that sailedthe Pacific.

That was the Fort of San Diego in 1616, to care for the ships carrying silver and precious stones of pirates who roamed the area.

Acapulco a few years later won fame as the centerof Reunion Holiwoodense and the rich and famous from around the globe.
