Was the most important archievements of Jane, showing the perfect image of British society at the turn of thecentury, under the appearances and prejudices.
Describes in a poetic,intelligent and ironic way the life of girls and English society in the XVIII century.In 2003 the BBC conduced an extensive survey to find “The most loved book in the UK”, in wich “Pride & Prejudice”, come second, after “The Lord of theRiungs”.
