DISORDERS IN DIGESTION SYSTEM
WHAT ARE DISORDERS SYSTEM?
Digestive diseases are disorders of the digestive tract, which is sometimes called the gastrointestinal (GI) tract.
In digestion, food and drink are broken down to small parts (called nutrients) that the body can absorb and use as energy and building blocks for cells.
The digestive tract is made up of the esophagus (swallowing tube),stomach, large and small intestines, liver, pancreas, and the gallbladder.

DISORDERS IN DIGESTION SYSTEM
* GASTRITIS AND ULCERS IN KIDS AND TEENAGERS
The bacteria H. pylori (Helicobacter pylori) usually don't cause problems in childhood. However, if left untreated the bacteria can lead to digestive illnesses, including gastritis (the irritation and inflammation of the lining of thestomach), peptic ulcer disease (characterized by sores that form in the stomach or the upper part of the small intestine, called the duodenum), and even stomach cancer later in life.
These bacteria are found worldwide, but especially in developing countries, where up to 10% of children and 80% of adults can have laboratory evidence of an H. pylori infection — usually without having symptoms.
Signs andSymptoms
Prevention

* Wash your hands thoroughly.
* Eat food that's been properly prepared.
* Drink water from a safe source.

In kids, symptoms of gastritis may include nausea, vomiting, and frequent complaints about pain in the abdomen. However, these symptoms are seen inmany childhood illnesses.

* ANOREXIA AND BULEMIA
Anorexia and Bulimia Care (ABC) has 22 yearsof experience as a UK national eating disorder organization.
ABC provides personal advice and support to anyone affected by anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and all kinds of eating distress.
WHAT IS ANOREXIA?
Anorexia nervosa is a complex eating disorder with three key features:
* refusal to maintain a healthy body weight
* an intense fear of gaining weight
* a distorted body imageBecause of your dread of becoming fat or disgusted with how your body looks, eating and mealtimes may be very stressful. And yet, what you can and can’t eat is practically all you can think about.

-------------------------------------------------
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF ANOREXIA
Living with anorexia means you’re constantly hiding your habits. This makes it hard at first for friends and family tospot the warning signs. When confronted, you might try to explain away your disordered eating and wave away concerns. But as anorexia progresses, people close to you won’t be able to deny their instincts that something is wrong—and neither should you.
As anorexia develops, you become increasingly preoccupied with the number on the scale, how you look in the mirror, and what you can and can’teat.

WHAT IS BULEMIA?
Bulimia is an illness in which a person binges on food or has regular episodes of overeating and feels a loss of control. The affected person then uses various methods -- such as vomiting or laxative abuse -- to prevent weight gain.

CAUSES, INCIDENCE, AND RISK FACTORS:
Many more women than men have bulimia. The disorder is most common in adolescent girls and youngwomen. The affected person is usually aware that her eating pattern is abnormal and may feel fear or guilt with the binge-purge episodes.
The exact cause of bulimia is unknown. Genetic, psychological, trauma, family, society, or cultural factors may play a role. Bulimia is likely due to more than one factor.

DISORDER IN EXCRETORY SYSTEM
The excretory system is the body's way of filteringout waste products created by cellular metabolism. Nitrogen waste products, ammonia in particular, are the most abundant types of waste the excretory system filters. The excretory system is composed of four major pieces: the kidneys, bladder, ureters, and urethra. The kidneys are responsible for the actual filtering of waste, and the result is urine. There are a number of disorders that can...
