He began his professional career as anIndustrial Engineer working for Harry Diamond Research Laboratories for the Department of the ARMY in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Fry then changed careers to become a Professor in the ManagementDepartments at Texas A & M University - College Station and The University of Washington. Currently he is a Professor of Management at Texas A&M University - Central Texas (TAMUCT;http://www.tarleton.edu/~fry/).

He has presented scholarly papers at National and International symposia, served on editorial review boards of The Journal of Management, The Academy of Management Journal, and OrganizationScience, and published articles and reviews in respected scholarly journals including: The Leadership Quarterly, Organization Science, Journal of management, Spirituality, and Religion, The Academyof Management Journal, Organizational Dynamics, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Occupational Behavior, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Management, Journal of ManagementSpirituality and Religion, Journal of Marketing Research, Public Choice, Human Relations, Journal of Applied Psychology, and The Academy of Management Review. He was also guest editor for a special issue onspiritual leadership for The Leadership Quarterly (published in October 2005).

He is currently is program coordinator for the MS Management and Leadership Program at TAMUCT.
