Discrimination to Latin American people

There is a very big problem in the U.S.A., the problem is that white people are discriminating Latin Americans for them to conserve their social place. Latin Americans suffer of poverty; this issue is not their fault because the white people give them poor and bad jobs that end in lack of money. In the United States of America there is a big amount ofLatin Americans that is each time bigger and bigger and it could end in the same amount of Americans. In the book the house on Mango Street they state, that this conditions in which they live makes them protect they're family, which ends in abuse. Discrimination to the Latin Americans covers a lot of issues because the problem is very bad and very big. Latin Americans have lots of problemsbecause they are not accepted in the community so they have to go live elsewhere and that is simply what white people want, this process will continue until they decide to change it.

Latin Americans have sevier money problems and this is in part because white people don’t give them good and well paying jobs. We can see in the book, The House on Mango Street that Esperanza’s family is low onresources. We can see the financial problem they had when we see this part of the book, “and the next morning I get to go to school with my mothers letter and a rice sandwich because we don’t have lunch meat.”(92) From my point of view this is a very bad way to live because they cant get a dissent job even if they are good in it. As we see in the book The House on Mango Street they dreamed to have abig fancy house with real stairs and two bathrooms, but the social discrimination is so big that it restrains them of getting what they want or accomplishing they’re dreams and goals. This creates a vicious cycle; the cycle is that the white people discriminate Latin Americans making them get poor jobs that will end in poverty and a vicious cycle. White people will continue doing this they can’t bedoing this consciously but they will continue doing this subconsciously. I think that the reason they are doing this to Latin Americans is because they want to feel higher than the Latin Americans, this is not good because we all have the same human rights and we have to valid them at all cost.

Even with the great number that Latin Americans have in the U.S.A. and the help of the governmentand the civil rights this problem hasn’t been solved. “Latin America is home to an estimated 150 million people of African descent — approximately 30 percent of the region’s total population. Despite their numbers, Afro-descendants are routinely subject to racial discrimination, social exclusion, and under-representation in government. They suffer from unequal access to education, health care, employment, and wealth. And they are often at a distinct disadvantage within the judicial system. Seeking to address these inequalities, Global Rights has operated a Latin America program for more than 25 years and, during this time, has worked in more than 10 countries across the region to decrease racial discrimination against Afro-descendants and indigenous peoples.”(http://www.globalri6ghts.org/site/DocServer/LA_Fact_Sheets_RacialDiscrimination.pdf?docID=3626). The surveys say that in 20 or 30 years the U.S.A. will have more people from a different ethnic group than real Americans. This shows that even when the white people are more today they are going to be the minority in the U.S.A. The white people will have to learn to coexist with each other.

The Latin Americans sufferfrom a very big problem that happens all over the world, women abuse. In the book The House On Mango Street we can clearly see the way they treat woman, they don’t abuse women just to hurt them, they do it because they think they are protecting them. This is one of the multiple examples that Sandra Cisneros gives us in The House On Mango Street “but sally doesn’t tell about that time, he hit her...
