Discrimination in United States of America

In United States of America they are many types of discrimination like in “They want to re-up” and “It’s hard enough being me”. These stories are basedin discrimination and the difference in these stories is the type of discrimination presented in the stories. They are the discrimination against men, against women and against being the minority.The principal similarities and differences of the stories is the discrimination. In one is the racism in the other is the discrimination against gay community.
Discrimination against men in theUnited States of America is big. In the first story the discrimination is for gay men’s and is very big. In the United States the discrimination against gays took a very bad turn when the hate crimeincreased. The hate crimes are very hard to prove but the police are putting a lot of effort to prove and stop these crimes. They were throwing out of the army if they were caught until the new law thatpermitted that the gays stay in the army. In the second story the discrimination for men wasn’t explicit because they were no men in the story, but you can assume that it’s a general racism. You cansee that the law help a lot to calm racism but they still feel bad like in the story according to New York Times “it took away all my value as a person” one veteran told James Dao of The Times.Discrimination against women in United States of America it’s everywhere in the country. In the army they had discrimination against lesbian women. In the other story the discrimination was againstLatinas that don’t speak Spanish. It was a very big discrimination because she was raised has an American and the Americans didn’t accept her. The Mexicans didn’t accept her because she didn’t speakSpanish. The Mexican called her “whitey” because she was a Mexican raised like an American and she had pale skin and green eyes. That was a very big deal for her because she wasn’t accepted by anyone....
