Specific Purpose: At the end of my speech, the audience should know the easy steps in changing a side engine mount on a 97 eclipse
Central Idea: To change an enginemount on a 97 eclipse, just follow the steps, have the proper tools and have the replacement part on hand.
Introduction
A. Attention Grabber: Suddenly you figure out that your car engine mount isgoing bad and is causing all kinds of vibrations, you call your mechanic and he tells you the amount of money he will charge you to replace this part, wow! You almost have a heart attack, but I gotgreat news you can save all this money by paying attention to my following presentation!
B. Thesis Statement: Changing your engine mount is easy, cheap, quick, and it involves only three simple steps:1. Gathering your tools and replacement part
2. Changing the engine mount!
3. Ensuring the jack is removed from underneath the engine and ensure you have all your tools.
C. This specific repairwas taught to me by a friend back when I was a mechanic.
II. Body
A. First, you have to gather you tools and prepare the replacement part.

1. Find out what size socket you bolt is and haveyour jack ready to use.
2. Ensure your garage or working place is well illuminated and have some rags handy for cleanup.

B.Second, you remove the old engine mount.
1. Remove the main bolt holding the mount to the chassis.
2. Place your jack under the engine and use a piece of wood between the engine pan and the jackbase so you won’t bend the oil pan.
3. Remove the two nuts on top of the mount assembly; these nuts are attaching the mount to the engine. The old engine mount is ready to be removed.

4. Replace thenew engine mount and attach the nuts on top of the engine and the main bolt holding the engine mount to the chassis.
