Divas Rebeldes is a book written by Cristina Morató, a journalist and photographer that she goes around the world since she was too young looking for news. The book contains thelife about seven women that they are united for they struggle and dissent in the world for being at finally women recognized for their own talent.
The names of Coco Chanel, MariaCallas, Wallis Simpson, Eva Peron, Barbara Hutton, Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy for decades occupied the pages of magazines. Thanks to his talent, beauty and personalitybecame authentic myths of the twentieth century.
Famous, rich and engaging, seemed perfect in the eyes of the world. Icons of fashion and glamor, created a unique style and wereadmired by millions of women who look like they dreamed. But really these sparkling divas were lonely, self-conscious with their physical and jealous of their privacy, they hatedbeing treated like stars.
These seven women of legend shared painful wounds that never heal: the lack of affection or parental abandonment, the aftermath of war, the pain of theloss of their children and the traumatic divorce.
Cristina Morató was born in Barcelona. She studied journalism and photography too young and then started travelling around theworld as a reporter. After spending a long period in South America and Asia and Africa until the twenty-two she decided to spend three months in the Equatorial Guinea. In 1985 livedfor nine months now the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire) working for the Spanish Health Cooperation in Buta. During these years alternated with the direction of travelTV shows. At finally she returns to Spain after been long time investigating about the secret life of all this myths, for write this fantastic book that we are talking about.
