Doors to Diplomacy Award Payment Guidelines

Global SchoolNet (GSN) is authorized to distribute the Doors to Diplomacy awards in the following manner.

Student Scholarship Awards:

1. The Doorsto Diplomacy Scholarship Award funds are to be used only for educational expenses while taking courses at a recognized university or equivalent institution leading towards an academic degree ordiploma. The institution can be in any country. In countries where university-level education is free of charge, the scholarship funds may be used for purchase of strictly educational materials as well aslodging and meals.

2. GSN cannot make a direct payment to the award recipient or their family. GSN will pay the university, an alternate higher learning institution or government agency the awardin US $$.

3. The scholarship award is to be used for higher education. Scholarship awards must be redeemed by age 20.

4. Global SchoolNet will issue a check directly to the university, on thestudent’s behalf.

Please provide the following information:
1. Doors to Diplomacy Award Year
2.Project Title
3. Team ID#
4. Student name (First and Last)
5. Date student has enrolled at institution
6. Student ID or student account # at the institution7. College or university institution name
8. Postal mailing address for institution (this is where we will send the check)
9. Phone number of institution

School/Coach Cash Award:U.S. Federal laws prohibit Global SchoolNet from issuing personal checks directly to coaches. Instead, we will issue a check directly to the school on the coach’s behalf. Coaches should makearrangements with the school for appropriate disposition of those funds. Most coaches purchase classroom supplies or pay for school-related special events.
