Dream Act
The dream act would not only open doors to undocumented student but it would also open doors for the future of the United States. “This is not an immigration bill. It is an Educationbill” Pacheco, Gaby (1). Currently there are 65,000 undocumented students graduating from high schools around the United States and many of their dreams get pushed behind do to the fact that they can’tafford it. Many of these students have a huge potential but will never be able to fulfill their potential. Some of these students are the key to the future of the United States. Some of these students areleaders in their communities. They are doing things like volunteer work, participating in school activities, clubs, and many other things. Students like this should have a chance of following theirdreams. Having more college graduates would give the United States new and diverse points of view to see the issues in a different prospective. The dream Act would be beneficial to these studentsbecause they’re not only making an impact in their community but the future if the United States.
Sometimes being little means that you don’t have a voice to choose whether you can stay in one place orjust leave it behind. Many of these undocumented kids are brought here without being asked. Their parents do it for many reasons for a better life to get away from violence, but whatever this reasonmight be the kids should not be punish for something that they had no choice on. Many kids have lived their life their whole life without knowing they are not legal citizens. The kids have only followedwhatever the parents have decided for them. The parents are not to be blamed because they were searching not only for a better life for themselves but also a better life for their kids. What manymight call the American dream?
