Why should we drink water? Is it important for our bodies? Water is one of the most essential elements for human beings, next to air, to survive. Over half of ourbody is made up of water. This is essential for our body to function, it can’t work without it. Water has many benefits for your body, and it is important that you know them.
Drinking waterreduces the risk of cancer. This is related to the digestive system. Studies have shown that drinking a healthy amount of water may reduce the risk of bladder and colon cancer. Water dilutes theconcentration of cancer cells in the urine. This makes it so the cells cannot come into contact with your organ tissues, and reduces the risks of having cancer.
Another benefit that drinking water has is thatit helps you to lose weight. This is because it flushes out the by-products of the fat you eat. Water reduces hunger; it’s an effective appetite suppressant so you eat less. Drinking water helpsthe body metabolize stored fat. A decrease in water drinking will cause fat deposits to increase, while an increase in water drinking can actually reduce fat deposits.
