ESTUDIO DE CASO REALIZADO EN EL SUB.CENTRO DE SALUD DE SANTO DOMINGO DE ONZOLE

“DETERMINACION DEL ABANDONO Y DESERCION DEL ESQUEMA DE VACUNAS DEL MINISTERIO DE SALUD PUBLICA EN LOS MENORES DE DOS AÑOS QUE ACUDEN AL SUBCENTRO DE SALUD “SANTO DOMINGO DE ONZOLE” DE LA PROVINCIA DE ESMERALDAS CANTON ELOY ALFARO EN EL PERIODO ENERO – DICIEMBRE DEL 2013.
RESUMEN
La investigación se realizó enbase a la metodología de estudio prospectivo, que registra información sobre los niños menores de dos años con esquema incompleto de vacunas; descriptivo porque describe los diferentes tipos de vacunas dadas por el MSP y las enfermedades prevenibles por las mismas; de corte transversal porque permite conocer los niños con el problema planteado en la investigación. Obteniendo información dediversas fuentes: historias clínicas, tarjetero, monitoreo de PAI (programa ampliado de inmunización), encuestas y observaciones; se analizan dos variables en la investigación que son: deserción y abandono del esquema de vacunas.
Una vez recopilada la información fue tabulada y procesada, presentándola en tablas y gráficos; en base a esto se establecen conclusiones y recomendaciones, los cuales vanayudar a disminuir la deserción y abandono de las vacunas para evitar enfermedades prevenibles por vacunación y por ende mejorar la cobertura del PAI de la Unidad Operativa.
Las causas predisponentes para que se dé la deserción y abandono están: el desconocimiento y la irresponsabilidad de padres y cuidadores de los menores de dos años de la importancia las vacunas que se les proporciona a sushijos de manera gratuita para la prevención de enfermedades.
Dicha investigación, ayudará al Personal responsable de PAI, a diseñar nuevas estrategias técnicas y educativas para disminuir la tasa de deserción y abandono de vacunas.
SUMMARY
The research was conducted on the basis of the methodology of prospective study, which records information about children under the age of twoyears with incomplete schematic of vaccines; Descriptive because it describes the different types of vaccines given by the MSP and the preventable diseases by the same; of sectional because lets you know the children with the problem posed in the research. Getting information from various sources: medical histories, rolodex, monitoring of PAI, surveys and observations; discusses the two variablesin research that are: Rate of desertion and abandonment of the schema of vaccines and under the age of two who come to the SCS.
Once you have collected the information was tabulated and processed, presenting it in tables and graphs; on the basis of this laying down conclusions and recommendations, which will help reduce the dropout rate and abandonment of the vaccines to prevent diseasespreventable by vaccination and hence improve the PAI coverage of the U.O.
The predisposing causes for the desertion and abandonment are: ignorance and irresponsibility of parents and caregivers of children under two years of the importance the vaccines given to their children for free for the prevention of diseases.
Such research will help the staff responsible for PAI, to design new strategies toreduce the dropout rate and abandonment of vaccines.
