Introduction
Felicia, Patrick and I our doing our oral presentation on what came before the hunger games. I will be talking about the background of the author and the publication and thepurpose. Felicia will be talking about audience, argument and context of issues. Patrick will be talking about use of language, and ethos, pathos and logos.

AndrewO’Hehir is a movie critic and reporter for the website Salon.com. He has written many articles and film critics. Some of his work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The times(UK), Sight and Sound, and many other publications. Since the late 1980’s, Andrew has been writing about film and many other subjects. For many years he was an editor at SF Weekly in SanFrancisco. Andrew has written three produced plays. He hopes to soon publish his first young-adult novel. Andrew lives in Brooklyn, New York with his wife and two children. He is married to LeslieKauffman who is also a writer.

The purpose of the article what came the Hunger games is, to show that Collin’s did not plagiarize Battle Royale as many think. What he argues is her idea is inspired by a genre ofscience fiction works that came before it. If Collin’s did not use Battle Royale as inspiration for the hunger games she could have used something similar from the same genre of literature.
