EAT OF THE ART WANT


I want to tell about a group of theatre from Bogota, your name is “Velatropa” and my experiences in this group, but I go to tell specifically about a play the name is "ComerDel Arte Quiero", it is really a "Act Public" this is a new genre or "play" of group.

The theater group Velatropa was born in 2002, with the direction of Paula and Lina Sinisterra, in this moment,they propose to develop one artistic exercise about the intervention of urban spaces focused generally in Performances actions and plays. In July of 2002 they presented their first work performance“oh Gloria" like their first proposal artistic for no conventional spaces.

In 2010 they presented their first "Acto Público" in the facade of the “Teatro Libre” in Bogota. This collective haveparticipated in festivals like: Iberoamerican fest in Bogotá, Alternative, pure air, and Manizales, and fest like these.

Then, in the 2002 this group showed a “Acto Público" of name “Eat of the ArtWant". Furthermore, I was acting in this play.

I can say that it was different from the others plays where I had worked, because, the spectator was witness of the process of it, we create this play infront of the spectator and. It was really risky. So !We were hung! Without how know, we were climbing the Theater "Jorge Eliecer Gitan" but we were learning in this process. Finally we create a greataerial dance.

And also, we worked with the art plastic with different material like the candy for the dresses; it was create with cotton candy. The colour pink it was wonderful.


The “Actopúblico" is a proposal that creates one artistic action of interdisciplinary character, in which the body language, the music, the plastic, with the spectator. It worked in the same spaces to build asituation in which publics places, serves like stage for create a situation unusual and take conscience about daily life.

In this way the "Acto público" searches to bring the public to a process...
