1. Introduction

The topic of this written work is about third world countries. The Objective of this piece of work is to introduce third world countries from the education point of view. Since the third world countries are a wide topic itself, concerning on differentcountries in different continents, it needs to be narrowed down. This written work is about third world countries in Latin America.

2. Abstract

The objective of this assignment is to survey Third world countries in Latin America. The specific aim is to survey Third world countries through a perspective which focuses on the educational systems, institutions and the radical quality differences inthem.

3. Thesis

Thesis of this assignment is that free education should be a right to everyone.

4. Hypothesis

By demonstrating that free education should be a right to everyone this assignment should make a point that by making the education free for everyone it will narrow down the gap between rich and poor. Also it can bring economic growth and deeper understanding of the economy tothe people living there. In general it will unify a nation also bring equality.

5. Third World Countries

The term Third World was originally used during Cold War to distinguish countries which were notaligned neither with the West (capitalism and NATO) nor with the East (communism). West represented with its allies the First World and Soviet Union along its allies the Second World. Many of the Third World countries are very poor so people started commonly use the term ”third world country” to describe undeveloped countries. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_World). Nowadays the term describes the developing countries and poorer nations in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Oceania. Third World countries includescapitalist (e.g Venezuela) and communist (e.g North Korea) countries, as very rich (eg. Saudi Arabia) and very poor (e.g Mali) countries. Various indicates which classifies Third World Countries are Political Rights and Civil Liberties, the Gross National Income (GNI), Poverty of countries, the Human Development of countries and the Freedom of Information within a country. (Nations online 2012.)The concept of the third world identifies countries that suffer from high infant mortality, low economic development, high levels poverty, low utilization of natural resources and heavy dependence on industrialized nations.
