The Same Goal in Different Ways

In United States and Cuba, university education plays a key role in the development of society and government because itprepare the new generations in order to forge intelligent and successful governments that guarantee the welfare and economic growth of their society. However, the differences in doctrine, classperiods, and prices are abysmal. First Marxist-Leninist philosophy is the doctrine of Cuba education, and it has been the foundation of the Cuban socialist teaching. In contrast, the United States does notrelate their education to any particular doctrine because their teaching methods are in constant change and development according to the global changes and new advantage. Furthermore, in Cuba, studymaterial are the same in the whole nation, and it is infected with communist ideas and slogans of war that operate as brainwashing on pupils; for example, "Socialism or Death" , "Pioneers for Communismwe are going to be like Che ", and students have to learn and memorize them as their creed. On the contrary, in the U.S. the study material is very diverse because each state and institution has itsown methodology. In addition, education in Cuba is closely related to philosophy, but in USA education is more connected with science, civics and politics. Additionally, the life mission of Cubaneducators is planted on their students what themselves have as principles, devotion to the oppressor Fidel Castro, loyalty to a totalitarian and decadent system, and hate the enemy whereas Americanteachers are like guides, allowing students to have their own judgment and critical thinking; as well as, they put emphasis on the importance of social relationships, ethics and professionalism. Second,the college class times in Cuba and the United States are completely different. In Cuba the college year is ten months without stop, and usually nine to eleven classes are taken during the course....
