Albert Einstein’s Letter to Phyllis Wright’s Essay
Even though Scientists are based on things that have to be proven, they alsobelieve there is something much more powerful that controls nature. They think that even though everything always has to be proven, their experiments and studies are based on an act of faith. However,there are some studies have to be proven by facts. Albert Einstein is one of the most important and intelligent scientist in world history. In Albert Einstein's letter in which he answered PhyllisWright question, he shows us how he was a person who despite being a scientist he had faith. In the letter Albert Einstein shows us that scientific studies cannot be based on prayers.
In scientificstudies, scientists cannot rely on things that happen for reasons of faith. Nor may they think they are because of supernatural issues. According to Albert Einstein “Scientific research is based on theidea that everything that takes place is determined by laws of nature, and therefore this holds for the actions of people” (Einstein 1). This is how Albert Einstein answers Phyllis Wright’s question inhis letter. The subject of Albert Einstein's letter to Phyllis Wright is whether scientists pray or not pray or what they pray for. Albert Einstein, the speaker, gives Phyllis Wright a clear point ofview and makes him understand whether or not scientists pray.
Upon receiving the response of Albert Einstein, Phyllis Wright becomes the audience of the rhetorical situation. The occasion of thisevent happened in the year 1936 when Albert Einstein was in the prime of his life. The purpose of the letter was to illustrate Phyllis Wright in his best way how scientists base their work. Pointing outthat every scientific study must be based on verifiable facts.
