INTRODUCCION

Através del tiempo se ha intentado transportar carga de un país a otro asegurándose de que ésta llegue a su destino sin recibir daño alguno.
Existen distintos tipos de contenedores los cuales podemos utilizar dependiendo del tipo de mercancías que se vayan a transportar. El contenedor marítimo es utilizado para transportar y proteger la carga desde el puerto de embarque hasta su lugar de destino, através de los diferentes modos de transporte.
Son muchos los materiales utilizados para fabricar un contenedor y pero siempre se debe tener en cuenta el proteger de la humedad su parte interior.
Los contenedores para poder ser identificados deben portar un código alfanumérico de 11 dígitos por el cual se podrán identificar una serie de especificaciones sobre el mismo.OBJETIVO GENERAL

Conocer la importancia y el manejo del uso de los contenedores en el mundo marítimo así como también como el mismo ha facilitado el transporte de las mercancías por vía marítima.

OBJETIVOS ESPECIFICOS

Conocer los distintos tipos de contenedores que existen y sus usos
Conocer cómo se estiba la mercancías dentro de los contenedores cuando estos son abiertos ycuando son cerrados
Determinar las distintas dimensiones y partes de los contenedores
Tener el conocimiento de las distintas leyes y convenios que crean los estándares para la fabricación, identificación y movimiento de los contenedores
Aprendes sobre los sistemas de manipulación de los contenedores cuando están en puerto y cuando están a bordo del buque.









1. EL CONTENEDOR1.1 CONCEPTO DE CONTENEDOR
El contenedor es un recipiente o embalaje de grandes dimensiones diseñado y utilizado para transportar carga a través de los diferentes modos de transporte protegiendo la carga contra deterioros o perdidas, desde el lugar de embalaje o puerto de embarque hasta la bodega de sus dueños o consignatarios en el país de destino.
