MARS IN TOURIST CLASS
Recently, Dennis Tito, the first man to make a tourist trip to space, announced plans to launch a manned mission to Mars in 2018Recently, Dennis Tito, the first man to make a tourist trip to space, announced plans to launch a manned mission to Mars in 2018. Jeff Foust, of New Space Journal, revealed that the trip does not state or even land on Mars orbit around it. It's just a trip?Roundtrip ? Space X Dragon on an aircraft (the first commercial aircraft in history) launched by a rocket Falcon Heavy, which can launch aircraft over 35 metric tons toorbit the Earth. The trip could take two people on a mission to meet basic hygiene and survival (nothing fancy).
However, there are many factors that determinethe possibility of the trip. First, the Falcon Heavy has not even been tested, its original debut scheduled for December 2017 while on a trip to the moonunmanned). Secondly, the Space X Dragon capsule would also need to run a series of tests before they can be used for such an ambitious mission, since not even know ifyour anti-radiation shield would be powerful enough for an interplanetary mission.
On top of this, consider the issue physiological causes muscles to atrophy inzero gravity. This can be prevented with specialized exercises , however, the small size of Dragon leaves no room for the necessary equipment.
So while theproposal of Tito's incredibly attractive, the reality is that the plausibility of it is still quite uncertain.
