INTRODUCTION
For optimal learning in the field of civil engineering, the study of materials used inconstruction is critical, the present research work concerns the study of one of the oldest materials which by its nature is used today, such as brick. Brick is an artificial material, it is not found in naturenaturally, but its components are located in the environment, which passed through a machining process are converted into this. Brick is a material used mainly in construction of structures, atpresent is very popular for decorations making it an aesthetic material.

BRICK
A brick is a block, or a single unit of a ceramic material usedin masonry construction, usually stacked together, or laid using various kinds of mortar to hold the bricks together and make a permanent structure. Bricks are typically produced in common orstandard sizes in bulk quantities. They have been regarded as one of the longest lasting and strongest building materials used throughout history.
HISTORY OF BRICK
The brick was used by the Mesopotamiansand the Palestinians for about 9000 to 11000 years. The Sumerians and Babylonians sun dried bricks and baked bricks used only for exterior walls. The adobe is considered the antecedent of the brick(mixture of sand and clay, sometimes mixed with straw and molded form of sun-dried brick).
GEOMETRY OF THE BRICK
His form is a rectangular prism. The six Surfaces of a brick are called cull, beds,side, end, and face.
