Introduction
Unfortunately both Libya and Egypt are experiencing the consequences of the Arab spring uprisings, and now they are facing the resultsof the war; after thousands of dies per day and a high percentage of the population living among the violence, explosions, corruption and injustice every day; both countries look forward to find the possible decisions to get the country back on track for its international competitiveness in the different areas, restore internal order and establish a way to bring the country to change to improvethe living conditions of the population and so to lead the country to prosperity and full development.
The Millennium Development Goals are overriding to the UNDP for its international commitment to provide aid to underdeveloped countries to achieve its goals to further development. The case of Libya is that there is actually a political crisis where there is a temporary internal organization(NTC) and also by this, some disagreements with the decisions taken by it. Sustainable development consists in the humanity growth with an eye to the care and protection of the environment, in other words to be non-dependent from the environment to the development and to take care of it. To achieve this goal in a country after a war, it’s necessary to make a damage analysis of the war. Then, whatare the basic needing’s of the society to get a basic quality of life to the welfare of the population. Finally, to try to make clear just the really necessities to make a base to the development.
The main objective of the UNDP is to offer assistance to issues the country is facing and which delay the development, but respecting the sovereignty, according with the issue that there is actually theNational Transitional Council. The Egypt’s case is kind of similar to Libya’s, because of the crisis but this is a political-military crisis. There is actually a new democratic government but in this UNDP has to be careful in the implication with the government of Mohammed Morsi and the Brotherhood which are in the presidency.
Growth can be seen in the development when the use of thesustainable development. For this is necessary to look for a way to make development, but without make some damage to the environment and if it is necessary to use, to take care of it and to extend its use. By this the UNDP may tender technical assistance raising awareness in the population by explaining them first what the current status is and what to do in this emergency situation. Also to teach them howto implement sustainable development, giving them examples of sustainable development and the good consequences of it; the ways they make some attribute to the environment and at the same time to implement development.
Human Development Index
There is a way to measure the development of a country, this is the Human Development Index, and to qualify the degree of the HDI take into account threefactors: Wealth, Education and Health. When a country reach high grades of HDI, it passes to become an Emerging country or Underdeveloped country depending the case. Living standards measures with the Human Development Index, which involves three factors: Wealth (Economy), Health and Education. If we have these three factors developed the country will have high degree of HDI and by this anenjoyable living standards. The Republic of Argentina considers this theory to the development and accepting and following this statute has been greatly benefited and is reflected in the current living conditions in the nation.
