Good Evening! For those of you who don’t know me, I am Lizzie, the very proud best friend of our glamorous bride. I want to start by congratulating Donelle and Jason and thanking all of you forcoming here to share this special occasion with them today.
Donelle has always been such a great friend. We’ve had a lot of fun together and she’s always been there for me when things were tough. We’vecome to know each other so well, that we have an understanding that goes beyond words. We don’t judge and we definitely don’t have to explain. So when it happened, Donelle didn’t really have to saymuch to make it clear to me that Jason was The ONE.
I will never forget the day she told me she was dating Jason. Aside from when she had her gorgeous children, she was the HAPPIEST I had ever seen.She smiled for hours as she talked about all of Jason’s good qualities, his smile, his silly laugh, and she couldn’t stop telling me how much she LOVED talking to him. She told me they could talk forhours about nothing in particular and laugh about the silliest things that no one else would probably laugh at. THAT day I KNEW Donelle was in love!
NOW the day that Jason convinced ME he was THE ONEfor Donelle (Which is just as important as when he won our beautiful bride over) was when I saw him love and care for the other two Loves in Donelle’s life, JONAH and ADAM. It was then that I knew thiswas not a temporary relationship.
And in good time there were bigger changes to their lives as they became the proud parents of Madison. It all felt right when it happened, it all feels right today,and I know that the life they have ahead of them will feel just as right as it does at this moment.
There is a quote by Emily Bronte that says “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are thesame.” Donelle and Jason, your souls ARE the same. You make a perfect couple, you truly deserve each other, and I know you WILL both have a long and happy life together.
