Past simple
We use past simple to express action and activities that happened at an early time and that have endedFor example: -we studied the last week
-I didn´t run in the morning because I am a lazy

In this tense we use the auxiliary “did” only in negative and interrogativesentences. Also we can use adverbs of time for prayer support
For example: last year, last month, last week, yesterday, etc.
Regular and irregular verbs
In the affirmative form we use the verb is pastform. There are regular verbs and irregular verbs
The regular verbs we must add “ed” at the ending of the word . But for this there are simple rules and special:
- If the verb ending in e, is added a“d”
Example: live-lived
- If the verb ending in a consonant + y, change y to i, then add “ed”

Irregular verbs
These verbs are so called, not to follow a particular pattern and in thiscase must be studied individually, completely changing, but we can establish three categories that help us to better study

note: the verb does not change that happened is the auxiliary "did"...
