Electric Charge
1. The typical current generated by a thunder clap , is about 3x103 C/s and it flows for about 35 μs. How much charge is transferred in this phenomenon ?

Coulomb’s Law
1.Figure 2a shows the fixed charges q1 and q2 separated by a distance “d”.

a) Calculate the intensity of the electrical force that acts on q1.

Consider q1=q2=17.3 μC and d=3 m.
b) A third chargeq3=23 μC is placed, as Figure 2b shows. Find the intensity of the electrical force that acts on q1 instead.

2. Two small charges, q1 and q2, are separated by a distance of 15 cm, and there is arepulsion force between them of 5.4N. We know that 2q2 = q1. Which is the value of q1 and q2?

3. Calculate the electrostatic force between two small charges q1 = 3μC and q2 = -2μC.

a) If thecharges are separated in the emptiness by 8 cm.

b) If the charges are separated by glass, Which long should be the distance between them in order to obtain the same attraction force that in theemptiness?.

4. Find the components “X” and “Y” from the electrostatic force applied over q1 as Figure 3 shows.

Electric field
1. q1 = 14μC it’s put it at the origin and a second charge q2 = -10 μC(Figure 4) it’s over the x axis 0.3m from the origin. Calculate the electric field at the P point on the (0, 0.4) m. location.

2. It is necesary to create an electric field, in order to acceleratea particle 2.5x108 m/s2 This particle has a 1/3 of the electron charge and the half of the proton mass. Calculate the magnitude of the electric field

3. Estimate the magnitud from the electricfield necessary to neutralize the gravity force on a -2μC particle and 1.5 ng mass

4. Figure 5, shows three electric charges placed on each corner of the equilateral triangle.
a) Calculate theintensity of the electric field on 2μC charge due to 7μC and -4μC charges.
b) Use the answer of the a) part and determine the force over the 2 μC.

5. Solve the exercise on Figure 6, determining...
