INTRODUCCION:
LOS EMENTOS CARBONO, HIDROGENO, OXIGENO, NITROGENO, FOSFORO Y AZUFRE; TAMBIEN LLAMADOS BIOELEMENTOS SON ESCENCIALES EIMPORTANTES PARA LA FORMACION DE MACROMOLECULAS COMO LAS PROTEINAS, LOS CARBOHIDRATOS, LOS LIPIDOS Y LOS ACIDOS NUCLEICOS. LOS ELEMENTOS POTASIO, HIERRO, SODIO, MAGNESIO Y CALCIO, LOS CUALES SEENCUENTRAN EN FORMA DE IONES, AYUDAN A ALGUNAS PROTEINAS A CUMPLIR FUNCIONES ESPECIFICAS. POR OTRO LADO, LOS ELEMENTOS ZINC, MANGANESO, COBALTO, COBRE Y MOLIBDENO SON MICRONUTRIENTES QUE PARTICIPAN ENPROCESOS COMO LA CATALISIS Y TAMBIEN SE ENCUENTRAN EN LAS VITAMINAS. EN ESTE PROYECTO NOS ENFOCAREMOS EN LOS BIOLEMENTOS Y SUS FUNCIONES.
LAS BIOMOLECULAS:
las biomoléculas son moléculas que seencuentran en las células y tienen un papel biológico importante, son muy diversas y abundantes, pueden ser inorgánicas y orgánicas, caracterizándose estas últimas por tener carbono, hidrógeno,oxígeno, nitrógeno, fósforo y azufre; están presentes en todas las células, siendo los principales constituyentes estructurales, además intervienen en la transmisión de la información hereditaria,participan y regulan las reacciones metabólicas y son fuente de energía indispensable para las células, entre otras funciones.
BIOMOLECULAS ORGÁNICAS:
En las células se encuentran cuatro grandesgrupos de biomoléculas orgánicas, que ellas mismas sintetizan y utilizan, siendo estas:
• Carbohidratos
• Lípidos
• Proteínas
• Ácidos nucleicos
LOS CARBOHIDRATOS:
Son las moléculasorgánicas más abundantes en la naturaleza y se encuentran en todas las células realizando una gran variedad de funciones tales como: son la principal fuente de energía y de reserva, son componentes...
