ENDLESS LAMENTS: WARS

‘’Humankind committed the first murder by killing his brother.’’
The desire of fighting and triumphing is as old as the first human beings. We know thatapproximately 70 million people have died during World War I. We lost everything in wars, including our father, mother, baby in swaddling clothes and our humanity. What did we gain? I think the answer is just‘NOTHING’. I am asking why do people spend their life for the sake of ‘nothing’? Governments fight for much more money, power and wealthy. Religions fight for inoculating their beliefs to the whole world,and make no bones about it. Lastly, individuals fight for their own personal reasons.

Governments fight against each other for many centuries. At this point, the question is ‘’what makesgovernments ‘martial?’’. The first proffer is that their regimes determine their propensity to war. If the regime of government is democratic, the state is peaceful. On the other hand, if the regime ofgovernment is autocratic and oppressive, the state is offensive. But history has not got examples of the accuracy of this proffer. The second proffer is about economic structures of states.Accordingly, agriculture based communities less prone to fight than industrialized communities.

Religion is one of the most powerful influences we have, and the most far- reaching, for it reaches outto the furthest limits of the community, the state, the nation, the world. Saying religion causes war just like saying alcohol causes inebriation and sunlight makes things grow. Religious wars outcropbecause of conflict of different religious beliefs. Although all religions refer to ‘peace’, the religions fight for different reasons for centuries. The general cause of these wars is proselytizingand stifling to people who believe to other religions.
