RESUMEN:
En la actualidad la diabetes es una enfermedad que alcanzado niveles muy altos a nivel mundial, siendo esta enfermedad causante de mas de cuatro mil vidas cada año por complicaciones y ataquescardiacos, ya que muchas personas la padecen y no lo saben, y las que lo saben, no tienen un buen nivel de conocimiento respecto a su perfil nutricional; el cual es considerado el tratamiento mas importante de los pacientes diabéticos tipo 2.
La presente investigación está basada en medir el nivel de conocimiento que poseen los pacientes diabéticos con respecto a su perfil nutricional, para ellose identificaron a los pacientes que padecían dicha enfermedad en el Centro de Salud de “Cruz de la Esperanza”, tomando como muestra 30 pacientes a quienes se le aplicó un test, que se elaboró con 10 ítems validado con 2 puntos cada uno de estos.
La recopilación y procesamiento de la información obtenida que arrojó como resultado que el nivel de conocimiento sobre el perfil nutricional delos pacientes que padecen diabetes es MALO.
Concluyendo que los pacientes encuestados tienen conocimiento de un régimen nutricional adecuado con el tratamiento de su enfermedad.

ABSTRACT
Currently diabetes is a disease that reached very high levels worldwide, this disease still causes more than fourthousand lives each year from complications and heart attacks, as many people have it and do not know, and those that know, do not have a good knowledge about their nutritional profile, which is considered the most important treatment for type 2 diabetic patients.
The present investigation is based in measuring the level of knowledge that the patients possess diabetic with regard to hisnutritional profile, for it there were identified the patients who were suffering the above mentioned disease in the center of health Of " Cruz de la Esperanza", taking as sample 30 patients to whom I apply a test, which I elaborate with 10 articles validated with 2 points each of these.
The summary and processing of the obtained information that fearlessness like result that the level ofknowledge on the nutritional profile of the patients who suffer diabetes is BAD.
Concluding that the polled patients have knowledge of a nutritional regime adapted with the treatment of his disease.
