Sonidos vocalicos
Estos cinco sonidos vocálicos son parecidos a los de otras lenguas, si bien, en inglés suelen ser más largos ,comosi fueran diptongos.
Cada sonido está representado por un símbolo; loe ejemplos muestran diferentes letras para un mismo sonido. Los símbolos fonéticos siempre se indican entre //.

3. The Diphthongs.
Hay tres diptongos básicos en ingles: /ai/, /a /, y /o/. Sin embargo se pronuncian a menudo como diptongos: /ei/ y /ou/.
