A Special Trip

Is a trip to a foreign country a good learning experience? For me the answer is yes, how much I learn on the last two weeks, justa few weeks ago my parent had the idea of traveling to France as part of my father business trip. It was a difficult decision between interrupting school and going on the trip. Due to the closingdates my family sat together and we discussed and reviewed the options and decided to go. My father had the idea this was a good learning experience. At first I was not so sure.

My trip started on anearly afternoon on September 11, we travel from San Juan, PR to the city of Miami FL, were a few hour later we aboard the plane to Paris. On my arrival to Paris, France, it was quite impressive manythings were different from the weather, the color of the trees, the airport, the people, the clotting. At our arrival my father was already there in France, he was waiting for us at the terminal, itwas a happy feeling to see a familiar face, and not feel lost in a foreign country.

At the airport we walk and have a cup a coffee and a croissant which a very traditional treat, little I knew,that it is the traditional breakfast in France, and that I will be eating croissants for breakfast for the next week.

After my arrival to Paris, we went in car to our hotel which was located on thevery center of Paris, from there we walked every day to visit various historical monuments of France, like the “Arc of Triumph” built in honor to the was fought by France to retain its sovereign againSpain, England and Russia after the French revolution. Another monument we visit was the Museum of Louvre, which was the king house in the city before the revolution. We also visit the Hospital ofInvalides which was the veteran hospital an now the resting place for Napoleon Bonaparte.

During my visit we visit the museums of D’Orsay, Pompidou and Louvre, we visit a number of French monuments...
