English grading system
Homework 20% This consists of work from book, investigation.
Participation 20% this consists of taking part in class activities in English.
Test 20% This consists ofresults of the TOEFL practice tests and weekly quizzes.
Portfolio 10% This consists of having their materials in order and reviewed.
Rubric 15% This rubric will be on a presentation thestudents will have to make.
Reading reports 15% This consists of weekly reading reports students need to hand in according to parameters set by the teacher.
Note: Two tardies equals one day absent,Two days absent equals no exam.
Participation in the class will be considered when the student communicates in target language.

6. Sustains a personal postureabout issues of interest and general relevance, considering other points of view in a critical and reflexive way.
7. Learns by self interest and initiative along life.
8. Participates andcollaborates effectively in diverse teams.
Competencias Disciplinares básicas:
1. Identifies, orders and interprets ideas, data and explicit and implicit concepts in a text, considering the context inwhich it was generated and the one in which it is received.
2. Evaluates a text through comparing its content with others’ depending on his/her previous knowledge.
3. Expounds hypothesis aboutnatural and cultural phenomena of his/her surroundings by consulting a variety of sources.
4. Produces texts based on the normative use of the language, considering the communicative intention andsituation.
