ENGLISH PROJECT: BACKSTREET BOYS

The Backstreet Boys (or BSB) are an American group band, created by Lou Pearlman. The band was formed in Orlando, Florida in 1993 . It was originally formed by 5members: AJ Mclean, Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough. His first single was “We have got it going on” in 1993.

AJ Mclean was born on January 9, 1978, in West PalmBeach, Florida. He was a child model. When he joined the band he was 15 years old.
Nick Carter was born on January 28, 1980, in Jamestown, New York. As a child, he appeared in several TV commercials, andhe auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club (with Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and others). However, his main interest was music. His career took off in 1992 when he auditionedto become one of the Backstreet Boys. He was 13 years old when he joined the band, he is the younger.
Kevin Richardson was born on October 3, 1972, in Kentucky. Kevin worked in Disney World-Orlando asa guide and as Aladdin, and that’s where he heard about the auditions for the “Backstreet Boys”. He was the older one. He was 21 years old when he joined the band.
Brian Littrell was born onFebruary 20, 1975, in Lexington, Kentucky. Brian join the band thanks to his cousin Kevin Richardson who proposed him. He was 18 when he joined the band.
Howie Dorough was born on August 22, 1973. He is theoldest in the band. He was born in Orlando Florida, where he met his future band mate A.J McLean. Howie always have loved show business, he was in The Wizard of Oz when he was 6 years old. He was 19years old when he joined the band.

They all decided to call the group Backstreet Boys naming it after Orlando's Backstreet flea market. The group had its very first performance at SeaWorldOrlando in May 1993.
