English Writing Narration

July 15th, 2011 is a date that I will hardly ever forget. Mikel and Marcos died. The desisions they made that day meant their lives. It could have perfectly well been me.
It looked likeanother normal Friday. I went out with my boyfriend Oscar and some of his friends. There were 14 of us in all, if I am not forgetting any: Oscar, Mikel, Marcos, Sergio, Alex, Borja, Jon Odriozola, JonManterola, Julen, Dani, Sara and I. There was at least one motorbike for every two people. We decided to go to "Non", a disco in Bilbao, a city about an hour from where we were in San Sebastian. It wasaround 11:30 pm when we decided to set out. We made a few stops along the way to eat something, and by the time we arrived to the club it was about 1:30 am. The night seemed to be a normal night outdancing. It was about 5:00 am when a shady guy approached us offering us some pills. I did not personally know him, he was friends with some of the guys. I did not really trust him, but I had no reasonnot to. Almost all of the guys decided to take the pills. I never knew what kind of pills they were.
When the disco closed, at 6:30, my boyfriend and I decided to stay in Bilbao for a whilewith Dani, Borja and Jon O., because we knew none of them were in any condition to drive. The other guys did not want to wait, so they headed back home to San Sebastian.
Those of us that stayed inBilbao went to a bakery to have breakfast. Not even a half hour had passed when Dani received the call. It was Sergio. I was joking with my boyfriend when I looked up and saw Dani’s white face. Weall stopped and held our breath. Dani bit his lip. In a very soft voice he told us that Mikel and Marcos had been in an accident. I could not believe it, it sounded so unreal. I hoped it was a joke, butI sat quietly listening to the seriousness of Dani’s voice. Sergio told Dani he would call us back as soon as the ambulance and the police arrived.
