ENJOYING NATURE
Many people enjoy taking a break from the frantic and fast pace of modern life by taking time to get outside and immerse themselves in the wonders of nature.
Iquitos, like few other places in Peruvian territory, lets the traveler feel nature in all her splendor, her power of surprise, her beauty and mystery. These qualities elevate a pleasant journey into a kind ofall-pervading mystery.
Iquitos lies two hours by plane from Lima. Capital of the Department of Loreto, it is a picturesque city sitting in the heart of the Peruvian jungle. The trip is in itself a singular pleasure. Tourists are able to see the three natural regions of Peru clearly delimited. The Coast of endless deserts; the Sierra highlands with their valleys and their peaks capped with eternal snows,and the Rain Forest, a broad green mantle with here and there a scribble of rivers.
We specially want to point this destination for Mexican, Argentinean, Germany and British people.

Often called ecotourism, nature tourism is defined as "tourism to natural areas that promotes understanding of the environment, appreciation and conservation of the culture and lifestyle of thelocal population" (Young, 1992).
Profile about Foreign Tourists 2007 (PROMPERU, 2007) says Nature Tourism is the second activity that Foreign Tourists prefer to do it when they come to Peru what is more Mexican, Argentinean, Germany and British people are who practice more outdoor activities.
