Version 3.0 Enhancements

This section describes the new features in the Enpac 2500 version 3.0 operating system.

Speed Reference Point
This version of the Enpac 2500 has the ability to determine the speed using a frequency reference measurement point in Emonitor. This allows for machine speeds to be stored and retrieved dynamically. The speed reference measurement can be configured as manual entry or a tachometer (external or internal) and its value is used by the frequency items to calculate the fmax of the dependent measurements. The speed reference frequency is set up in the Frequency Item pane in Emonitor software Refer to the Enpac 2500 User Guide(Publication GMSI10-UM002c-ENE-E), section “Setting Up Measurements” for detail instructions.

Speed Storage
The Enpac 2500 can now save the cursor frequency value as speed. The 1XRPM that appears during data collection can be used to set the machine speed based on cursor position. The cursor value is stored in the “machinespeed” column of the “data history” pane in the Emonitor software. To use this function, simply move the cursor to the desired frequency on the spectrum and press the 1XRPM button. The cursor value will automatically be stored with the spectrum. It will also appear in the upper left side of the Enpac 2500 screen when reviewing the spectrum in the data review screen on the Enpac 2500.Transducer Change Notification
The Enpac 2500 v3.0 will display a warning message when moving between measurement points that are configured for different sensors. (i.e. moving between acceleration and velocity measurments). This function can be activated or deactivated through the Transducer Change parameter in the Setup utility screen (see images below) Warning Message Setup Utility

Do not Warn WarnNo message is displayed Message is displayed when transducer is different than previous point

Nuclear Requirement: Change route based sensor Calibration
This function was implemented to meet the requirements of most Nuclear facilities where the sensitivity used by the Enpac 2500 must be typed in exactly as marked on thesensor. This function gives the ability to change the sensitivity of sensors for route based measurements. Note: If your facility does not require this function, then it is not recommended that it be used. Incorrect settings can affect measurement results. Set Up. From the Setup Utility screen press the 0 + F4 keys simultaneously, this will open the Transducer Calibration screen. By default thereare no transducers defined.

Create new Transducer Use the arrow keys to highlight the transducer option., press the right arrow and select NEW. To define a new transducer, you set up the four fields used to identify the transducer (units, ICP, Nominal Sensitivity, and input channel) Type the actual sensitivity Press Apply to save changes and to add the sensor In the example above, all sensors onall loaded routes with the set up listed below will use the sensitivity of 93.2 mv/EU. Units (base units) Acceleration ICP power On Sensitivity 100mv/EU

Special Note The transducers can be entered in almost any units (g, m/v2, IPS, mm/s, etc.), but all are stored as G, IPS or Mils. Therefore, nominal sensitivity...
