SUMMARY: Itis very complex to define the minimum grade tha thuman necessities should be satisfacied and it depends on their characteristics and historic and culturalvariance. Thus it is important to have clear definitions about quality and satisfaction of life, Health or health-disease process, Health necessities and health system. The purpose of this paper is to review those definitions and to establish a narrow relationship between quality of lifeand the health-disease process, elaborating a proposal of explicative model about the determinants andconditionants of the health-disease process intending to approach to the reality, integrating the relationships among the biologic-psychologic-sodal causes and reporting the relativity grade of health, its dynamic, objectivity grade, temporal perspective and integrity. In conclusion, the quality of life is a wide and complex concept that includes the satisfaction of series of necessities and it is necessaryto research about its indicators and indexes and to evaluate it in the population at different levels in order to advance a step to the analysis of its relation with the health- disease process.

Introducción
El hombre como un serindividual y social, tanto como la vida humana misma, es un proyecto inacabado y se presenta como esencialmente necesitado en el orden físico, biológico, psicológico, familiar, social y ambien-tal. Su realización como proyecto requiere de una multitud de satisfactores y derechos humanos social e históricamente determinados.
Los orígenes del derecho a la salud se remontan a la antigüedad y los primerosregistros se inician en el siglo XVI, sin embargo, dos siglos mas tarde, el estado inicia el control sanitario de las comunidades (la poli-cía médica). En Alemania se desarrollan complejos sistemas de medición de la salud de las poblaciones. En Inglaterra, en 1 875, Chadwick propone y recibe la aprobación de la Ley de la Salud Pública. Luego Bismark, en Alemania, impone el Seguro SocialObli-gatorio (1 880) y Beveridge, en Inglaterra, la Seguridad Social.
La compatibilización de los modelos estructurales, sugeridos por Donabedian en 1 973, con los modelos epiden-dológicos propuestos por Blum en 1 974, cons-tituyen desafíos que se requieren vencer a través de diferentes perspectivas y formas o mecanismos de financiamiento.
