“Calidad, es el conjunto de propiedades y características de un producto, proceso o servicio que le confieren su aptitud para satisfacer las necesidades establecidas o implícitas”.

El concepto anterior expone de forma muy general el significado de calidad, sin embargo es necesario aclarar que hablar de calidad en lo que se refiere a lasempresas o instituciones que se dedican a la producción de bienes o servicios, es hablar de obedecer a una serie de patrones de producción preestablecidos que de una manera u otra si se cumplen al pie de la letra, garantizan la satisfacción de cliente.
