Essay

This movie is about a man (Charlie Chaplin) that work in a factoryand his job is to tighten screws in an assembly line, many times charlie is not at the same rythm that the machine is working and hestumbles with his friends or gets in the machine.
The president of the company uses charlie to prove a machine that feeds people while they areworking and the machine goes crazy. Charlie is always working so he goes mad because of the amount of work and he goes all over the citythightening screws and also the buttons of people. He is caught by the police and is sent to jail. Many times after this he is sent to jail, one of these times he meets a girl and with time they want a life together, so charlie is always looking for a job and in many of these getsfired.
The relation with the industrial revolution is that in this revolution the products and machines were more each time and people hadeach time less time to work on them, so all the procedures were very fast and people without time of doing anything. Also the massiveproduction as it was with less time people sometimes do a mediocre job because of the conditions (like charlie when he didn’t tighten the screws)so products were with a lower price and many products at a reasonable price because of the mediocre things. The production costs were less.
