WE ARE JUST WHAT WE EAT!
Eating has always been one of the biggest pleasures of human existence. From the beginningof history, countries and cultures have been creating cooking styles, which define them and make them different and unique. However, we can say that some people “eat to live,” and some others “live toeat!”. Therefore, in the following paragraphs we will explore and analyze some of the implications that food has had in our lives, and how we can be the result of the food we eat.
First of all, itis very common to find people fighting, working hard to get the necessary money for their daily food, and that of their families. There are many people who simply don’t have the necessary economicresources. So, they basically consume cheaper products like flour, sardine, and sometimes regulated meat or chicken. These people are always worried about their nutrition. Some of them are fat, but theyare not very healthy, because they don’t have the required nutrients for a happy and well-balanced life. These people definitely “eat to live.”
On the contrary, some other people are always buyingand consuming a great number of products. They like to make parties, to have guests at home, and to go to expensive restaurants. These people sometimes believe that eating much has benefits for theirlife. Consequently, some of these people suffer from diabetes, cardiac diseases, etc. Moreover, they usually don’t do exercise, thus, they also become obese, and lazy. These people definitely “liveto eat!”
Finally, we can also mention another interesting parameter in our lives. Usually, the kitchen is the most important place in the house. In the kitchen we like to talk, to be in family, todiscuss our problems, to express our love for our parents and children. Therefore, eating becomes a very significant activity in every culture.
