If I were king of the world would put to London as the capital of the world for what it offers us the culture and art.
London: is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom, thelargest metropolitan area in the United Kingdom, and the largest urban zone in the European Union by most measures, Located on the River Thames, London has been a major settlement for two millennia, itshistory going back to its founding by the Romans, who called it Londinium,  London's ancient core, the City of London, largely retains its square-mile mediaeval boundaries. Since at least the 19th century, thename London has also referred to the metropolis developed around this core.[4] The bulk of this conurbation forms the London region, and the Greater London administrative area, overned by theelected Mayor of London and the London Assembly,   London is a leading global city, with strengths in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media, professional services,research and development, tourism and transport all contributing to its prominence. London has a diverse range of peoples, cultures, and religions, and more than 300 languages are spoken within itsboundaries, In July 2010 Greater London had an official population of 7,825,200, making it the most populous municipality in the European Union.
London's buildings are too diverse to be characterized byany particular architectural style, partly due to their varying ages. Many grand houses and public buildings, such as the National Gallery, are constructed from Portland stone. Some areas of the city,particularly those just west of the centre, are characterized by white stucco or whitewashed buildings. Majority of Londoners – 58.2 per cent – identify themselves as Christians.
