Pop art:

Nowadays art is very important for our lives but 1950’s an art revolution startsknown as Pop art, one of the most famous figure of this movement was Andy Warhol. His work explores the relationship between celebrities, advertisement andartistic expression, he was also proud to bring together different points of view between Hollywood celebrities and intellectuals.
After looking for Andy Warhol’s workI really liked where he paints Marilyn Monroe so I decided to paint a face just as Andy Warhol but with a similar technique just like the one of Marilyn Monroe,I tried to use of the colors that he used in the painting and also try to contrast the primary colors to make it look better, this kind of paintings were veryrepresentative to the pop art movement because the colors were so attractive and the person that appeared in the canvas was famous.
Before doing the canvas Ineeded to decide which work of Andy Warhol I was going to use for this work so decided to used the one of Marilyn Monroe because I liked the colors in the pictureand the technique known as silkscreen printing that is used for mass production, and the fact that the work of Marilyn is part of the most expensive paintingsever sold.
In my view Andy Warhol was one of the painters that revolution the world of the arts in the whole world by trying to change the normal designs tosomething new and fresh the fashion, making it more natural, fun, mixing some techniques and having a lot of imagination to draw the attention of the public.
