Taste the big apple

New York is a city that has endless activities and places to meet and spend unforgettable times. Itis impressive, as never you finish knowing the entire city in just one weekend. However, this weekend was one of those that I will always remember.
On Friday, a friend of mine had a birthday and hemade a reservation at a Jamaican restaurant in Soho called Lilys. I had never tasted Jamaican food before neither had I a clue what their culture was. The food caught my attention because it issimilar to the Venezuelan and Colombian food, as well as being equally spicy at Mexican food. The appetizers were relatively small but varied, we ordered ceviche that had a hint of orange, also we ate somemini tacos of fish and pork and a delicious salmon dip. The entrees were incredible, they had a dish very similar to the Venezuelan food that was a jerk chicken accompanied with plantain, reallygood. I enjoyed having met a new restaurant with food from another country. The atmosphere was super nice, the place was sensational and the waiters was the typical Jamaican people who made you feel outof NYC and transported you to their country.

The next day my boyfriend, my best friend, her boyfriend and I went to Brooklyn by bike. We road in the bikes through the east side and we crossed theWilliamsburg Bridge. Once we were there, we biked around the neighborhood and then we went to Radegast, a German beer garden. It is a cozy place, and the people were very friendly. We spent some timetalking, having fun, drinking a couple of beers and eating German sausages. Around 5pm we went back to Manhattan, I will not deny that the return was more tiring and I wanted to grab a taxi, but it wasa challenge to finish my bike ride. At the end of the day, I felt proud and happy of the bike trip and I was fascinated by Williamsburg. It is a super cute neighborhood with pretty little places to...
