TOURISM
It is famous the Sanctuary of The Flagstones near Ipiales that receives pilgrims' thousands daily. Worthy of knowing they are the Lagoon of the Cocha, the island of The Corota, thesnowy one and the lagoon of Cumbal, the knot of the Grasses, the thermal waters of Ipiales and The Cruz, the island of Tumaco, the Beach of Bocagrande, the natural national Park of Sanquianga, Florasanctuaries and Fauna Galleys and island of the Corota, and 47 areas of natural reservation in the municipalities of Barbecues, Chachaguí, Ricaurte, Grass and Yacuanquer.3 Annually take place in the firstweek of January the Carnivals of White and Black. In the Municipality of Sandoná one of the most beautiful churches in the country is whose construction of walls is elaborated in stone and its styleis neo-Gothic. Recently the Encounter of Andean cultures, a space has been created that counts with cinema festivals and of theater.
