Society often forces us to think in a way different from what we think is right and it can causes we can’t see reality from different points of view. An analysis of the behavior of John (the savage)in Brave New World and Guy Montag in Fahrenheit 451 shows that it is very difficult to fit into a society that thinks very differently to them. Both characters have to fight against society and thevarious changes that occur in their lives. John was raised outside of brave new world, so by moving to this place he has to face many changes because the thinking of people in brave new world was verydifferent from the thinking of him. I the other way Guy Montag is a fireman who burns books and the books have no importance to him until a girl makes him understand that books are very important.Following this he has to face the society, which does not accept that any person read a book. In some way or another the experiences of these two characters are similar, therefore to compare these twocharacters I will summarize their thinking and the situations that both of them have to deal.
The adaptation of John in Brave New World was very difficult because all the people thought different fromhim. He was the son of the director of Hatcheries and Conditioning Center and Linda and raised in the Savage (it was a place where people who did not accept the laws in brave new world were sent).John read a lot and learned many things from books and that made ​​it very difficult to make understand the way people are related in brave new world.
