It all began in 2005 when several engineers investigate touchscreens began under the leadership of Steve Jobs, Apple chief executive (Until late 2011, replaced by Tim Cook). Applecreated the device with the unique and unprecedented collaboration of AT & T Mobility (Cingular Wireless at the time), at an estimated cost of $ 150 million over a period of thirtymonths. AT & T gave Apple the freedom to develop the hardware and software of the I Phone, and even paid Apple a fraction of the money earned by offering monthly service forconsumers (until the I Phone 3G), in exchange for 4 years of exclusivity in the States until 2011.
Jobs showed the I Phone to the public on January 9, 2007 at the Macworld 2007 convention atthe Moscone Center in SanFrancisco. Because the FCC must approve the device, it went on sale until the day June 29, 2007 at 6:00 pm local time. The I Phone became available in the UK,France and Germany in November 2007 and in Ireland and Austria in the spring of 2008.
On July 11, 2009 she released Apple I Phone 3G in 22 countries, including the six in which thefirst I Phone was sold. Later, the iPhone3G became available for sale in 80 countries and territories. Apple announced the I Phone 3G on June 8, 2009, with the plan out for sale on June19 in the U.S., Mexico, Canada. On June 7, 2010iPhone was announced in April, coming up for sale days after achieving 1.7 million devices sold only the first weekend of sale. There are, to date, 5 versions of the I Phone: I Phone, I Phone 3G, I Phone 3GS, I Phone 4and  I phone 4S. Version is equivalent to generation, model, or 5 devices (hardware) different, do not confuse the I Phone version with the version of your operating system, or IOS
