ENVIRONMENT
The environment is the air, water and land all around us which is very important for all living and non-living things, maybe that´s why here in Chileexists a Ministry of the Environment.
The environment is also about the planet and how clean it is. We know that keep the planet clean is a hard job, but we can dolittle things every day that add up to big change for the environment.
For example, Did you know that egg shells and banana peels can help flowers grow?
It´s easy,you have to wash the egg shells, then you have to mash the shells up into a fine powder, and finally recycle them in the garden.
On the other hand, the banana peelshave been used for hundreds of years to protect roses! The banana peels actually contain several nutrients for the garden plants such as potassium, calcium, magnesiumand sulfur. It is recommended chopping up the banana peels before placing them in the garden or around the roses.
I will give you some tips to save money and begreen in your home.
1) Turn off lights and computers when you leave the room.
2) Only run the dishwasher or washing machine with full loads.
3) Unplug cellphone chargers, computers, televisions, and printers, or use a power bar to cut the power.
4) Stop using disposable bags
5) Buy an inexpensive reusable waterbottle, and stop buying plastic disposable bottles.
6) Wash laundry in cold water instead of hot.
7) Turn off your computer completely at night.
8) Payas many bills as possible online
9) Collect rainwater, and use it to water your houseplants and garden.
10) Five-minute showers – make it a goal for yourself.
