Is Violence Necessary?

It would be great if people could live in a world without any kind of violence, if everybody respected everyone and if we did not have to judge or treat peopleas they were less, everybody would live a life full of happiness, but, that might sound a little unrealistic. In the world that we live in, people see violence as necessary because most of the timeoppressors do not want to liberate the oppressed, and the oppressors would not listen what the oppressed have to say. The best way to solve a problem is by trying to solve it in a peaceful way, violenceshould never be used as a first resort, the oppressed might think the the only way to liberate themselves from the oppressor is by using violence, but that is not true. Ghandi believed that violencewas not necessary in order to liberate Indian people, and he showed it by liberating his people from the oppression without using any kind of violence. I believe the only kind of violence that shouldbe used is, the one that only affects the oppressor and the oppressed, because if in order for the oppressed to be liberated many people has to die or get hurt in consequence of their violent methodsthat is just abhorrent; they would be killing inocent people that might not even know what is happening, and there is no justification for that kind of actions. Violence should never be use as a firstresort, only if all attempts to be liberated have failed, then it is when violence should take place.
Although violence is repugnant, there are times, after everything else havebeen tried, that it might be immoral not to resort to its use. I believed that the best way to deal with oppression is by using non-violent methods but I am also aware that not everything can besolved with peace and love and sometimes violence can be useful.
