It Is Time to Change
The technology has advanced a lot these last 20 years. It is amazing that all people, including children, can access so easily to a computer and another technologicdevides. Children can do better their homework, research, and waste less material. But why is it good for them to use technology at such an early age? What are the effects on them? Here you have threeeffects.
The first effect is that they gain more ability to use electronic and digital devices.You must know already that some old people are not able to use a computer or even turn it on. Well, thisis because they were not surrounded by all of the current technology, but the children are now, and they are used to, and it is almost impossible for them not tu use a computer or a smart telephone(which is like a small computer). So, they can manipulate better the elctronic or digital devices and they would be prepared for the futurustic technology and they will not be stuck such as many ofthe old people now.
Children can learn more from other cultures that are around the world. This is the second effect. The computer is a very complex machine because it has many functions. Oneimportant function of the computer is to have a connection to Internet, another complex thing, and thanks to it, people can access to everything and also chat with other people. Children can do this now.It is not difficult becasue they just need a software and that is it, or they can visit some web pages such as forums, chat, watch uploaded videos.
The last effect is that it improves theprocess of apprenticeship. As said above, the computar has softwares, and some of them are simulators which are used a lot in education. Another example is that it helps to develop their imagination,creativity, memory, the way children make connections between symbols and images, which could be icons, letters or numbers. Also, they understand better how the cause-effect works and sequences.
