Mission Statement/ philosophy of the company:" Performance at an affordable price "
Renault has created its Corporate Social Responsibility department in May 2009, being aware of their own social responsibility with its employees,its customers and the impact of the corporation in the planet. The four major avenues of progress, according with Renault are: education, safety, sustainable mobility and diversity. The ultimate goalestablished in their CSR is to minimize the negative impacts of the Group’s activities and to strengthen its positive contributions to the world in which it lives.
Mission, vision and strategy:Considerate the actions throughout the company. Its strategy is based on five priorities:
* to act in favor of equal opportunities and access to sustainable mobility for all,
* to encourage theresponsible and united involvement of employees,
* to support long-term responsible development in the regions where the company is established,
* to inform and share with stakeholders and raisetheir awareness,
* to develop expertise in social responsibility.

History of the company:
Likeother auto manufacturers that are still around today, such as Ford and Fiat, the Renault Corporation was created due to the initiative and genius of one man, Louis Renault. He was born in February1877, and he always had a passion for mechanics and techniques. He leaved the school and spent most of his time in the workshop where Léon Serpollet used to build his racing steam cars.
He made someinventions and one of the most famous was a universal jointed propeller shaft that included a three-gear box with reverse, with the third gear in direct drive. He patented this principle in 1899. This...
