Social issues
* Czech Republic suffers many of the problems typical of advanced industrial societies.
* Crime has a great impact since 1989, many other problems were related by communism;prostitution, drug abuse, alcoholism, and teen delinquency have risen as well.
* New problems have arosed since the Communist government collapsed; Corruption, organized crime, money laundering,smuggling, and the development of illegal arms trade are some of the problems that are happening.

Gender discrimination
* It`s been planned for the EU to access the Czech Republic to make a numberof legislative changes with regard to EU directives. One of the numerous changes is the ban on discrimination in the labour market.
* Not only women are the ones affected by discrimination in themarket but the whole population. Only one in 10 women and one in three men think that there is no difference between the genders in the labour market. According to the majority of the interviewsdone, women with preschool age children represent the group with more disadvantages.
